In the first year of BSc Animation, students are exposed to use and application of different computer softwares. They study subjects such as Introduction to Computers & Internet, Computer Graphics (Photoshop), Computer Graphics (Illustrator), Print Media (Coral Draw), Print Media (Quark Express), Introduction to Multimedia & It’s Applications. Students also learn Technical & Creative writing, Developing Principles, Typography, Colour Theory and Drawing & Sketching.

Students gain knowledge in the areas of HTML, New Developments in IT Seminar, Introduction to Web Development, Computer Animation Intro. to Flash, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Java Scripts & VB scripts by the end of the year.

Students also have sessions on Animation Principles, Character Set up and Character Animation in this final year.
